Embodied Frequencies: Fundraising Campaign

Embodied Frequencies is a two-day group showcase featuring immersive sonic performances and sculptural/digital installations by 5+ Los Angeles-based artists and researchers. This event will be held this summer (2025) at Smart Objects LA.

This program positions the role of sensory experience as a mediator in how humans process presence and intimacy within technologically mediated environments. We invite guests to slow down, feel deeply, and reflect on the epistemological – community sound archives or everyday object recordings become epistemic artifacts, offering insight into communal histories and emotional truths, such as soundscapes that produce collective memories. By reframing sensuality as heightened sensory perception, we foster new pathways for connection and recollection in contemporary environments.

We are currently seeking support to help bring this program to life—funding will go directly toward production, technology and material procurement, and outreach efforts that make the experience accessible to a wider community.

Kive Studio is entirely self-funded by a pair of artists committed to sharing space for education and meaningful exchange. Your support, substantial or minimal, helps our small team at Kive continue to provide unique opportunities for LA-based artists and scholars alike.
