A showroom installation by Kive Studio
North Six, Los Angeles — October 25–26, 2025

Minxcenter’s debut solo showroom, Lover, Stop, and Daydream, is an immersive environment translating Minji Son’s digital and illustrative world into physical space. Produced and spatially directed by Kive Studio, the exhibition unfolds across gallery and retail, each designed to mirror the layered sensibilities of Minxcenter’s surrealist language.

Through photo-wrapped pedestals, jacquard textile displays, and interactive fittings, the installation explores how clothing, image, and memory operate as second skins. Soft lighting and pastel curtains create fluid thresholds between fantasy and tactility; archival works appear beside new jacquards and capsule pieces, mapping the artist’s evolution across form and feeling.

At the center, a fabric-suspended archive and mirrored fitting room draw visitors into an intimate dialogue between reflection and self-image. The grounded lounge, informed by proxemics theory, anchors the sensory experience with shared presence through pastries, scent activations, and soft projections as gentle interruptions in space.

By layering personal artifacts, projections, and sculptural textiles, Kive Studio reframes Minxcenter’s universe as a living environment.
