While digital content offers quick and easy access to information, printed forms of art and communication, such as books or magazines, allow every page to serve as a meaningful purpose in a larger, cohesive narrative. While physical prints are more costly, there is value in obtaining something tactile that can elicit emotion, memories, and ideas. This event highlighted two LA-based independent publishers, Atelier Éditions and X Artists’ Books, alongside a feature of Far Near’s work.
The two collectives’ collection consisted of contemporary art books engaging with multi-disciplinary artists, project-specific work, and discourse among contemporary art scenes and technological impact.
As usual, our event incorporated a Kive conversation lounge, serving as a critical component in providing the infrastructure for guests to converse, engage in critical thought, and participate in our writing activation.
